The Young Bunch know wine and love fun. Enjoying them together sees the birth of their own wine event, part of the 2010 Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.
The event brings together a group of twenty-to-thirty-something wine makers and winery owners who like to have a drink as much as you do. The Young Bunch ‘tasting party’ could be deemed as mildly educational as owners and makers will be on the floor, possibly at times talking about their wine, other wine and what they got up to last weekend. It is also possible that this will be done with a drink in hand.
Young Bunch came about through a common vision, and half a degree of separation. They are committed to modernise the casually focused enjoyment of wine by connecting with like-minded friends and followers of wine by way of fun slash approachability.
Melbourne cocktail haunt Red Hummingbird provides the space, Bright Young Things provide the canapés, dj emillionzzz provides an auditory contribution whilst seven of Victoria’s winemakers & winery owners will be pouring generous glasses of their finest.
The Young Bunch is Ben Portet (Dominique Portet, Yarra Valley), Nick Brown (All Saints Estate, Rutherglen), Christian Dal Zotto (Dal Zotto, King Valley), Clare Burder (Eminence, King Valley), Matt Fowles (Plunkett Fowles, Strathbogie Ranges), Simon Steele (Shadowfax, Werribee) and Rowly Milhinch (Scion Vineyard, Rutherglen).
